My Future Classroom

In my classroom I want to change the misconception of the 21st Century Approach and utilize the technology that is so readily available to us as educators! I will strive to teach my students how to be life-long learners instead of teaching them to memorize information they will later be tested on! The traditional approach of teaching will no longer prevail in Mrs. Allen's classroom! I will act as a facilitator and encourage them to inquiry their own thoughts, to problem-solve, and to collaborate/communicate with others, all while adapting to an ever-changing world!

In order to engage students and allow for them to be involved, be creative, and be themselves I will work to make technology a part of our classroom with activities such as Blogging in order to learn from other students’/teacher’s experiences and lessons! Google Drive will also be an adamant tool in for my kids because of the fact that this tool is very easy to maneuver and works well for students of all learning abilities! The simplicity of Drive proves for a great resource. As the facilitator this will be an easy route of communication between myself and the students. 
Being knowledgable about the technology and tools available to students will benefit them as they go on their way further into the education!
